Tekken 7 Team Doesn't Take Comments At Face Value, Wants To Understand "Underlying Reasons" To Properly Solve Problems

Games with a prominent multiplayer component, such equally fighting games, are always tricky to manage, more often than not due to the community asking for specific changes which could better the experience. In a recent interview, Tekken 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada talked about how the team deals with online comments and how the data is used.

In a contempo interview with VG247, Katsuhiro Harada has been asked how the team manages to filter genuine comments from the noise regarding any aspect of Tekken 7. In his answer, Harada said that the team doesn't accept comments at confront value, as he believes that the truth of what players are saying isn't exactly what they want.

"That said, we don't even take the comments at face value – most of the time somebody'due south maxim something, only the truth is that what they're saying isn't exactly what they want. We take to look and say – what is the underlying crusade that's led to them saying that detail thing?"

Katsuhiro Harada as well humorously added that if they took comments at face value, and gave players what they were request for, they would still exist unhappy, which is something that's easy to predict, especially considering the endless "vitrify" and "nerf" comments which oft contradict one another. Finding the underlying motives is, according to Harada, the way they can properly solve problems.

"We take to retrieve about what their underlying motives are, because if we just give fans what they ask for, they're still not going to be happy. Simply what is the underlying reason for these people saying what they're maxim? If we tin get to that, we can properly solve their problems."
